Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD)

Generalized anxiety disorder is marked by persistent or excessive anxiety and worry - without sufficient cause and lasting more than six months - about two or more life circumstances; e.g., worry about possible misfortune to one's child (who is in no danger) and undue worry about health or finances. Individuals with GAD also experience a number of physical and emotional difficulties such as restlessness, edginess, muscle tension, fatigue, sleep disturbance and concentration problems.
