Join us for this on-demand webinar recording led by Kshamta Joshi, MD, to discuss the use of psychotropic medications in children and adolescents.  Dr. Joshi will provide an overview of the indications for medication, the different classes of medications and when they are used, and expected results. She will also discuss the role of the therapist in making a referral for medication management and ways in which you can collaborate with the prescriber to best coordinate services.

Dr. Joshi is a board certified child, adult, and forensic psychiatrist. Topics to be covered include:

  • when to refer to a psychiatrist
  • how to talk to parents about the need for medication
  • common side effects
  • psychotropic medications used to treat common anxiety disorders
  • expectations for efficacy and related safety issues
