The Ross Center offers professional development and continuing education opportunities for mental health providers and as an APA approved sponsor of continuing education, we are able to offer CE credits to psychologists.  We are proud to have many world-class, highly experienced clinicians as part of our team who will be providing trainings and seminars at our facilities.  It is part of our vision to expand the use of quality, evidence-based treatment that reflects best practices and up-to-date research.  We look forward to sharing the expertise and knowledge of our clinicians with other mental health providers so that individuals around the world no longer have to suffer from anxiety or depression.

Upcoming Professional Development Sessions:

An Introduction to Cognitive Behavior Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I)

Date: May 31st, 2019, 8:45am – 12pm

Location: The Ross Center – Northern Virginia

In an interactive lecture format, participants will review the literature on assessing and identifying various sleep disorders as well as discuss evidence-based, behavioral sleep medicine interventions, including an in-depth review of CBT-I treatment, to address them. Specific CBT-I strategies discussed will include use of sleep logs, sleep restriction, stimulus control, sleep hygiene, relaxation, and cognitive therapy. This intermediate-level training is geared towards mental health providers who have training in CBT. 3 CE Credits will be awarded to psychologists who attend the full session.  Cost: $95


Using Dialectical Behavior Therapy Principles with Parents & Families

Date: June 14th, 2019, 8:45am – 12pm

Location: The Ross Center – Northern Virginia

In an interactive lecture format, participants will gain knowledge in using the basic DBT principles of behaviorism, mindfulness, dialectics, and targeted validation and will be able to consider ways in which they can use these strategies with parents and family members of clients as critical components in reducing harmful behavior.  Cost: Professionals – $95, Students – $65
