Practice Philosophy:

Dr. Amy Bissada is board certified in child & adolescent as well as adult psychiatry. She possesses a hopeful outlook, calm demeanor, and holistic approach towards diagnosis and treatment. During a comprehensive evaluation, she considers a patient’s medical history, social factors, lifestyle, family situation, and mental health in developing the best course of treatment. Well regarded for her listening skills, patients feel heard and understood. She offers a combination of therapy and medication, digging into organic causes that might be impacting symptoms. When medication is indicated, Dr. Bissada spends the time necessary to educate patients regarding all possible treatment options and their risks, benefits, and alternatives so the patient is actively involved in decision-making. Patients leave treatment with a greater sense of hope and clarity, able to better manage their symptoms and implement positive lifestyle changes.
