Ages Treated

Leslie Rokoske, MD is a board certified psychiatrist with a special interest in women’s mental health across the life cycle. After an immersion year as an AFS exchange student in France, college (Georgetown) brought Leslie to Washington, DC thirty-five years ago. She returned to her native NC for medical school (Duke, 1991), then back to DC for residency at The George Washington University, where she served as inpatient chief resident (1995). Dr. Rokoske worked almost twelve years rehabilitating the seriously mentally ill (Fairfax and Arlington Co.) before joining The Ross Center in 2007. At Ross she evaluates and treats adults with anxiety-and-related disorders, mostly through the use of medication, peppered with tenets of cognitive, dialectical behavioral and interpersonal therapies as they seem appropriate. She has raised three children (including twins) and considers that experience to have shaped a more empathic understanding of her patients’ complex lives.
