She approaches each patient holistically, conducting a comprehensive assessment that includes one’s medical history, social and cultural background, prescription records, and mental health concerns. Kind and nurturing, Dr. Mehta listens carefully to each patient, and develops a plan that encourages patients to incorporate self-management such as nutrition, sleep, and exercise in addition to prescribed medication and psychotherapy. Patients appreciate her sense of humor and attention to detail, finding her compassionate and easy to talk to. When medication is recommended, she takes the time to review the benefits, potential side effects, and purpose with the patient so together they can make an informed and collaborative decision.
