Ryan C. T. DeLapp, PhD, is a distinguished psychologist and advocate for mental health and cultural healing. As the founder of the REACH Program at The Ross Center, he has dedicated his career to culturally responsive care, and he frequently speaks about racial and cultural stress in training sessions, podcasts, and webinars.
In therapy, Dr. DeLapp focuses on an individual’s values and strengths, helping them accept themselves and discover strategies for achieving life goals. He applies his specialized training in CBT, DBT, and ACT to help BIPOC individuals embrace and respect their cultural backgrounds and develop protective skills to alleviate the impact of cultural and racial stressors.
Dr. DeLapp earned his Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of Louisville and is a licensed psychologist in New York, Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia. Previously, he was an assistant professor at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and attending psychologist at Montefiore’s Child/Adolescent Outpatient Psychiatry Division.
