Dedicated to Professional Development

Continuing Education Programs and Careers

The Ross Center offers professional development and continuing education opportunities for mental health providers.

It is part of our vision to expand the use of quality, evidence-based treatment that reflects best practices and up-to-date research.  We are proud to have many world-class, highly experienced clinicians as part of our team who will be providing trainings and seminars at our facilities, and will also bring in outside experts to conduct training workshops.

Our programming includes live, interactive webinar presentations as well as video on demand homestudy courses. We strive to provide training on a range of topics, including cultural competence, LGBTQIA+, ethics, law, and risk management, categories that are often required for licensure renewal by state licensing boards.

Continuing Education Credits

The Ross Center is an APA approved sponsor of continuing education for licensed psychologists in all states and an approved provider of continuing education for social workers in New York. Often, we are able to obtain approval for social workers from DC, Maryland, and Virginia boards for continuing education credit as well as other mental health disciplines. Many state licensing boards accept CE from APA approved sponsors as well as for trainings approved by boards in other jurisdictions. Social workers, LPCs and LMFTs can view this chart to see if your state approves CE credit.

Racial, Ethnic, And Cultural Healing (REACH)

The REACH Program for Providers, Schools, Businesses & Organizations

REACH stands for Racial, Ethnic, And Cultural Healing (REACH), a program that is all about promoting Empowered Decision-Making among BIPOC (for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) youth and adults. The REACH program offers BIPOC individuals the ability to understand the impact of racism-related stress and gain new coping resources. Learn more about the REACH program.

The REACH Program was created by Dr. Ryan C.T. DeLapp, licensed clinical psychologist. Dr. DeLapp specializes in the provision of culturally responsive care, or the acknowledgment of cultural strengths and impacts of cultural stressors within psychotherapy. Learn more about why Dr. DeLapp created the REACH program in this blog post.

If interested in learning more about the REACH program or these workshops, please contact Grace Landis at [email protected]. or call 202-363-1010 to get in touch with Dr. DeLapp directly.

For Providers

For providers who are interested in referring your patients to a REACH group, check out this video for guidance on how to talk about the REACH Groups with your patients.

If you have any additional questions, Dr. DeLapp would appreciate the chance to schedule a brief phone to answer any questions about the program and to offer his assistance in supporting the referral process.

For Potential Collaborators

For potential collaborators interested in partnering with REACH, Dr. DeLapp offers community-based workshops for clinicians, youth and adults, and parents and caregivers. These workshops can be held virtually or on-site in schools, businesses, organizations, and faith-based institutions.

Educational Workshops

Bringing our Expertise to Your Organization

The Ross Center is also able to offer educational workshops that can be presented on-site in your organization. Ross Center clinicians are gifted speakers and teachers and look forward to sharing our expertise with you. We can customize a workshop to train your staff on recognizing anxiety disorders, or present free programs to parent groups.
