Many people who struggle with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder also find themselves with addictive tendencies. In fact, it is estimated that as many as 25% of individuals who meet the criteria for OCD, also meet the criteria for a Substance Use Disorder.

If you have been diagnosed with OCD and also find yourself addicted to:

• Drugs or narcotics

• Alcohol

• Exercise

• Gambling

• Gaming

• Internet

then you could benefit from an effective group therapy program designed specifically for you.

This 10 week, 90-minute program uses Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to teach you skills and strategies that will improve your ability to take control of your life. You can learn to manage your cravings and obsessions and don’t have to be ruled by what you feel and experience. As you begin to understand how the OCD and addiction issues influence each other, you’ll gain skills to reduce unhelpful behaviors. The group format enhances this type of learning by providing a safe place to engage in the shared experience.

You can expect to learn to:

• Minimize intrusive thoughts

• Reduce cravings and impulsive behavior

• Temper obsessive thoughts and behaviors

• Develop effective maintenance strategies for lasting change
