Steady Through the Season: Using DBT Skills to Manage Holiday Stress

Location:

Webinar via Zoom

Intended For:

Adults and Older Teens

Date / Time:

Wednesday, Dec. 10, Noon ET. 1 Hour. Recording will be provided to all who register.

Program Description:

The holidays can be a season of connection and joy, but also of pressure, family tension, financial strain, and emotional overload. Whether you’re navigating complicated relationships, managing unrealistic expectations, or simply trying to stay grounded amid the chaos, we can offer you clear, practical skills to help you stay steady. These skills are drawn from the therapeutic approach called Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

DBT is an evidence-based approach that teaches concrete tools for managing emotions, communicating effectively, tolerating distress, and staying present in the moment. These skills are especially useful during the holidays, when routines shift, stress runs high, and old patterns and relationship dynamics tend to resurface.

Steady Through the Season: Using DBT Skills to Manage Holiday Stress will introduce you to the core tools that can be during this complicated season and throughout your life. Learn new approaches to help you get through the holidays with more balance, intention, and self-compassion.

Who is this Webinar For?

  • Strengthen distress-tolerance skills to cope with intense moments in real time
  • Set boundaries, communicate needs effectively, and practice Radical Acceptance
