Practice Philosophy:
Dr. Jeremy Safran is a caring and compassionate psychiatrist who provides psychotherapy and medication management to children, adolescents, and adults. With a calm, empathetic demeanor he puts patients at ease, taking the time to listen and foster a collaborative atmosphere of care. He provides tailored treatments based on a patient’s age and circumstances, including a focus on lifestyle and sleep hygiene for overall wellness. He believes in getting to know the whole person, and focuses on what causes a patient suffering. He targets problematic symptoms that are causing discomfort, helping each person to find their own version of success and working toward these goals. When working with children he strongly values parental involvement, taking the time to explain possible treatment options, both therapeutic and pharmacologic, so together they can make the best decision for the child. He recognizes that many people are hesitant to explore medication, and carefully explains benefits and potential side effects to help patients gain greater understanding of treatment recommendations
