DrEverettonADHDShortage

Fox News recently ran a story on the shortage of ADHD medications and the impact on children, especially as they returned to school this fall. Dr. Kristen Everett, a child psychiatrist here at The Ross Center, was featured in this clip to discuss the impact on children and families as it became more difficult to fullfill ADHD medication prescriptions.

In this segment, Fox News correspondent Mark Meredith reported on the ongoing shortage in medications and cautions surrounding fake pills on the black market. View the segment here: How the shortage of prescription stimulants can affect students’ return to school | Fox News Video.

ADHD is a complex disorder involving various neurological processes and can touch many aspects of an individual’s life, including social interactions, academic or professional achievements, and overall mental health. This disorder can impact an individual’s ability to maintain attention, control impulses, and organize tasks. Medication and therapy can be effective tools to help manage ADHD.
