We are so proud of our medical director, Beth Salcedo MD, the 2023 recipient of Anxiety and Depression Association of America (ADAA)‘s Jerilyn Ross Clinician Advocate Award. To honor the memory and lifework of Jerilyn Ross, ADAA’s co-founder and president from 1985 to 2010, this award acknowledges a professional who exemplifies excellence and outstanding advocacy for patient education and care, training, and research. This award has special meaning for Dr. Salcedo, a former president of the ADAA as well, since Jerilyn Ross was also the founder of The Ross Center!

I am incredibly honored to be receiving this award, as ADAA and its staff and membership has really added so much to my life and my career.  It makes it so much more special that I was introduced to ADAA by Jerilyn Ross, who was the first person I worked for in a private practice setting. She hired me in 1996 when I was serving as chief resident at George Washington University School of Medicine, and I have been privileged to work at The Ross Center throughout my career. We are proud to continue the legacy of Jerilyn here at The Ross Center.”
