Otema Adade, M.D., M.A., is a compassionate, thoughtful, and nurturing psychiatrist specializing in the treatment of children, adolescents, and young adults with mood, anxiety, and behavioral disorders, including attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). She is double-board certified in child & adolescent and adult psychiatry.

Dr. Adade also collaborates closely with community partners, such as psychotherapists, pediatricians, and educators, in treatment planning. She also has a background in clinical psychology; and specialized training in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and early childhood interventions. She uses her expertise to conduct a comprehensive diagnostic evaluation, medication management, and supportive therapy.
Experience and Training:
Dr. Adade received her medical degree at Duke University School of Medicine and Masters in Clinical Psychology at the Duke University Graduate School. Dr. Adade served as a Chief Resident at the Brown University Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship Program. She was the recipient of an American Medical Association Foundation Physicians of Tomorrow Award.
