Recorded Webinar - 1.5 Hours

This introductory workshop focuses on providing an overview to the Unified Protocol for the Treatment of Emotional Disorders. The UP is one of the most well-validated treatment protocols in the newer generation of empirically supported treatments. Its focus on a transdiagnostic approach means that it is designed and has been successfully implemented in treatment across a wide range of clinical disorders and with subclinical concerns with a broad patient population.

Key tenants of the UP include education about emotions and improving emotional awareness, along with increasing cognitive flexibility, with a heavy reliance on experiential learning. As a result, this workshop will include experiential elements designed to help facilitate practice and utilization of UP principles in daily clinical work.

CLINICAL OBJECTIVES:

By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Describe the key principles of the Unified Protocol for the Treatment of Emotional Disorders.
  • Summarize the key research findings supporting the use of the Unified Protocol in clinical practice.
  • Use exercises from the UP in their own clinical practice.
